Outside of pre-vet stuff, I own and take care of possibly the worlds cutest dog named Blu, my two year old Siberian husky. I’m from Lakeland, Florida, but spend most of my time in Gainesville since I work as a vet tech and Gainesville Animal Hospital. I have volunteered with a wide range of species all with local organizations so please reach out with any questions! I love the concept of OneHealth and hope our events this year reflect that passion. I hope to pursue a career with the ocean but I’m not sure exactly where I fit into the puzzle yet. I’m so excited to help everyone have a great year!!

Hi everyone! My name is Victoria Walter, but I often go by Tori. I am so excited to be your social chair this year, and I cannot wait to get to know you all better. I transferred to UF with an AA in animal sciences from USF and Santa Fe. The prevet club is where I met some of my first friends at UF, and I hope you all take up the opportunity to create such friendships within the club! Some fun facts about me are that I am an identical twin, have two three-legged cats, and love the beach and working out. Some experience I have is working as a tech in a small animal clinic, fostering cats/kittens, volunteering at our calf unit, and more. I hope to be a small animal GP once I finish vet school, working with an SPCA or shelter on spay/neuter programs. Please don’t hesitate to reach out at anytime about anything!!!! I’m here to help make this club fun, and I love hearing new ideas! Can’t wait for this year:)

Hi everyone! I’m Catalina, but I go by Cat for short! I am a first-generation Mexican student majoring in Animal Sciences and minoring in Non-Profit Organizational Leadership. Most of my experience is with small animals, but I am interested in exotics too! Currently I work as a surgical assistant and technician at St Francis Pet Care, do research with IFAS FYCS, and serve as a mentor for incoming first-gen freshman. In the future I hope to continue serving the pets of individuals in underrepresented communities through low-cost clinics, shelter med, and/or relief work (I kinda love it all lol). As this year's DEI and Wellness Director I hope to expand everyone's knowledge on how important these topics are in vet med with a variety of fun events and resources. I am so excited for the year ahead! Don’t hesitate to reach out, I’m always happy to help :D

Hello everyone! My name is Stone, and I am honored and excited to be serving as your Social Media Director this year! I believe social media has the power to be a positive influence in our lives when it is used properly. It can be an invaluable tool that helps us connect, network, and learn from others. Because of this, I will provide plenty of resources to help each of our members not only succeed in their journey to vet school but also grow as a person. If you ever have any questions about something UFPVMC related or if you have any general veterinary questions, I am more than happy to help you, so always feel free to reach out to me! I have been fortunate to have a variety of experiences during my undergraduate years: I work at West End Animal Hospital, have taken four undergraduate veterinary department courses, and did a research project on neurological diseases in horses and how it affects their behavior. Here is to a great year together!!! :)
